Safety Rules - Awareness

To maintain law and order on the roads of Indore and promote road traffic safety rules and regulations is the mission of Indore Traffic Police. And as responsible members of society, the children of Digamber School tried to spread awareness by creating a channel between safety of their near and dear ones and the traffic rules and regulations. Through different ways, they communicated in their innocent yet intelligent ways about the safety and well being while driving.

Diwali, the festival of lights, was celebrated with fun and festivity in Digamber School. The day started with the celebration of birthday of the children falling in coming week. The significance of celebrating Diwali and how it is important to our culture was explained by Mrs Deepti Kakani to our little kids in the assembly. Headmistress, respected Mrs Manjusha Joshi, asked students to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali. She insisted our little children to donate things to poor children instead of wasting money in crackers which are polluting the environment.

Global Handwashing Day

The student council of Digamber School initiated the cleanliness campaign by providing useful information in the assembly on the occasion of Global Hand-washing Day. This day is celebrated every year on 15th October to increase awareness and understanding about the importance of hand-washing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives.

Assembly Activity

Diwali is yet to arrive but the festivity is in the air. This was obvious be seeing the beautiful and well decorated soft boards outside the classrooms. Each child was earnestly busy in preparing his/her piece of art to add beauty to the classroom. They made beautiful torans, Diyas, frills using glitter, shimmer and their enthusiasm.

Class III – Play way - Prefix and Suffix

Learning prefixes and suffixes needs practice. It's helpful to have a good understanding of what prefixes and suffixes are. To explain the meaning and usage of prefix and suffix, a fun activity was conducted for the learners of class III. They were given few prefixes and suffixes and were told to add with words correctly. Some joined correctly and the ones who added wrong were corrected by their mentors. Mentors also explained the meaning and difference between prefix and suffix and the places where they are used. Kids enjoyed a lot during the activity and learnt the correct use of these two vocabulary tools.

We celebrated Navratri and Dusshera with great joy and vigor. Students and teachers came in traditional attires. It was a visual treat to watch our tiny tots dressed in a magnificent style. Dance and devotion lit up the school ground when kids celebrated the festival devoted to the Hindu goddess Durga with joy and cheer. The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dancing made it a memorable day for all. The finals of inter-house Bhajan Competition was also organised on the occasion in which Subhash house begged the first prize.

Interhouse Quiz 3 - Curious Kids

For our curious and inquisitive kids, we again came up with Intra-house Quiz. The questions asked to the kids were from their syllabus and current affairs. The rounds were also familiar to them and they seemed to come with great preparation to be prompt.
