Class I – Match Me - Shapes

'Shapes' is a fun educational activity to help children learn basic properties of simple geometric figures. Children practiced looking for differences and similarities between shapes and matched them. Learners also seemed excited while recognizing the shape of different objects shown to them.

Interhouse Skit competition - "My Mentor, My Guru"

Interhouse Quiz 1 - "Smart Minds"

Guru Purnima was celebrated two days prior with great zeal and enthusiasm. We found ourselves lucky to have company and blessings of honourable chairperson on this occasion. The celebration started with the introduction of the day by Ms. Nishtha which was followed by an inter house skit competition on the topic 'My Mentor, My Guru'. The skit presented by the houses depicted the role of Guru in one's life. The skit competition provided a platform for a huge number of students to display their talents on the stage. The costumes, props and set were designed absolutely as per the theme which made the skit more interesting.

Activities - 5 July

Class I – Play Way - Shabd Banao

To reinforce the concept Varna Mala an activity Shabd banao was conducted in class 1 where flashcards of various Hindi letters were provided to the learners and they utilized them in creating their own words. The idea helped kids to revise two letter, three letter, and four letter words. This activity added more words to their vocabulary. Activity also helped them in learning the quality of team work as they helped their partners in searching the letter required to complete a word.

Activities - 4 July

Class I – Drawing - A House and A home

Home, sweet home is always the best and safest place for everyone. We discussed the topic what turns house into home with our tiny tots. Is it Television, gadgets, household items, toys etc or is it love and care of family members. Undoubtedly everyone's choice was second one. Mentors took rhythmic reading of the poem. After explaining the poem and how sharing, caring, helping and loving change the atmosphere of home, children were also asked to make drawings of their dream home. While playing with colours, they enjoyed the activity.

Plantation for Narmada

On July 2, M.P created a history by massive plantation in districts located on the banks of river Narmada through public participation under the able leadership of our honourable chief minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan and we, Digambarians, felt privileged to become a part of this event. Plants are God’s greatest gift. With them, He spreads peace and harmony around the world. And the one who acknowledged these precious offerings is a peaceful and selfless soul. With this thought little Digamberians observed the plantation day on July 2. Respected Headmistress graced the occasion with her presence.

Doctor's Day Celebration

Inter house Symposium Competition - "Doctors - The Redeemers "

It's Doctor's Day, time for us to thank the doctors for keeping us healthy and happy and appreciate nurses and ward boys who care for us day and night selflessly. Doctors are another form of God on Earth with a service motto, love, dedication, hard work, knowledge, patience.....the list is just non-ending.... At Digamber School, on July 1, we celebrated Doctor's Day to pay tribute to the entire medical profession. We had organized a symposium competition "Doctors - The Redeemers" for our learners. The participants were enthusiastic and eager to share the role and importance of doctors through discussions.

27 June - Activities

Class I – Demonstration - Matra Magic

A new activity in the series of learn by fun was added by the mentors of Class 1 where tiny tots were given wonderful actions to overcome the confusion of identification of mantras in Hindi. The actions were taught to the kids as per the formation of each matra and then as mentor called the name of any matra they did action. The fun based made recognition of various matras easy for them. The activity encouraged the children to relate the sound and the matra used in it.
