Digamber School

Plantation for Narmada

On July 2, M.P created a history by massive plantation in districts located on the banks of river Narmada through public participation under the able leadership of our honourable chief minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan and we, Digambarians, felt privileged to become a part of this event. Plants are God’s greatest gift. With them, He spreads peace and harmony around the world. And the one who acknowledged these precious offerings is a peaceful and selfless soul. With this thought little Digamberians observed the plantation day on July 2. Respected Headmistress graced the occasion with her presence.

The students were ready to plant saplings in and around the school which not only showcased their practical involvement but was also another step forward towards spreading awareness for green and clean city. The students who scored 100% in the session 2016-17 planted saplings along with their parents. It was also an effort to encourage students by acknowledging their performance in academics. Children were given a variety of saplings for planting which purifies air as well beautifies the surroundings. The soil and manure selected was as per the requirements of the plant. Respected Headmistress appreciated the efforts of the students. She asked students to be selfless and patient like plants and take efforts to become responsible citizens of future. The short day at school ended with refreshments and a marvellous thought ..... "He who plants a garden loves other beside himself".
